That’s what they cost in SA at the moment as well, two for sale, 41.5k and 46k - both low mileage - I got lucky a year ago. No subframe issues here though.

What would be a fair price for this car?

It doesn't even say full Maserati history, it says it has one service from Jaguar!?
When I worked for Maserati we serviced other Super Cars too from Aston Martin to Lamborghini and a fair few Ferrari.
A skilled technician is just that.

And a cream interior - wonder what the damage was?

I did a car vertical report on it, it was in 2013, so when the car was 2 years old.

It has had an inspection by Autolign in Northampton in 2021 to say it is all ok.

I still think resale will be close to impossible on it though.

It would have been worth upwards of 80k at that stage so if the repair was uneconomical the damage must have been substantial. I wouldn’t touch it unless you would see pictures of the damage and if you know who repaired it. Even then as you rightly say resale will always be an issue.

A lot of GT S Quattroportes for sale at the moment. Maybe some owners are seeing the strong prices and going for it.

Cars can’t be removed from the register as I understand. They can be ‘condition inspected’ by Autolign at best.

I guess they mean 'change the status' as far as HPI is concerned, but not 'remove from the register' at the DVLA or whoever keeps the insurance records.
