A friend of mine just bought a tidy 2004 duoselect QP with 65k miles on it from the auctions for £4.5k. Like all big saloons, these cars drop in value until they are worth next to nothing. It's been the same forever and will remain the same forever.

I really like the GTS, fantastic passion and looks but in the end, these are 11-14 year old machines and actually, the fact that a nice one is still north of £15k is quite strong compared to any similar sized machines from others. You can buy a 7 series or S Class of the same age for about £20.

Spot on, saloons always tank which is a shame but won’t change. Thing is if you bought it used it doesn’t matter. These cars - like most GranTurismos - are old and slow. Sure they look great and sound even better but the new peeps coming through want connectivity in cars and SUVs - look at Porsche Cayenne and Macan sales. Coupes and Convertibles are about to go the same way as saloons, all very depressing!

4.5k for a 65k mile QP?
If it’s in good condition that must be worth more in spares. If you can find buyers for your spares after you’ve broken it of course....
Can’t lose on that deal though.

Anyway, we should be talking the prices up on here, not down!

I'm off to Shiltech on the 28th January to 'reclaim' my beautiful 2009 QP 4.7 S. Despite Shiltech trying to sell it for the last 6+ months now and after dropping the price 4 times, there havent been any sensible offers on the car which I would accept. So it's coming back home to Cumbria just in time for spring and summer.....Can't wait to start driving it again around the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales! Yyypeee.......:)

Why do so many QP's get specd with black interior? Really doesn't suit it IMHO. The lighter interiors are so much nicer. Can't beat a nice cream or tan.

The GTS launch spec was all black, certainly this is portrayed in the official brochure etc

Many thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Did you check it out on Autotrader (my advert)or Piston Heads ( Shiltech's advert)? Personaly I think my Autotrader advert is much better and did the QP justice. But no point in crying over spilt milk now.
So time to enjoy again although I won't close the door to any sensible offer in the future.

Do you have an advert for your car yet....price, history etc....I have a car dealer Friend who has been looking for one for himself and mentioned yours. He is looking at one he has found through the trade on Sunday but he is looking for the best he can get as for him is a keeper.

Des, sorry but my car dealer friend bought the one he saw today. It was a steal even in today's climate. He said thanks for the info.
