It had to happen, it’s come lose.... 2 questions - what is the best way to reaffix the Quattroporte script (before I try superglue) and any tips to get it to line up with the still solid “sports gt s”?

You can get very thin almost transparent 3M tape in various widths. I've used it for all sorts fixing laptops screen bezels, mobile phone screens and other various jobs. Might work well.

Maybe masking tape as alignment to line up?

I wouldn't use superglue. Maybe some glue that can come off if needed again without doing damage.

It’s held on by the prongs, with a push stud on the back.

It does not require much stick, I would use pva down the holes, push back in, tape over for a couple of days.

A hot glue gun (tenner at the supermarkets) would be best.

Whilst on the subject of hot glue gun, it’s something everyone should have, very neat things and very strong bond.
