Hi Lorenzo,
I have a 2007 4.2 Executive that I bought three years ago with very low mileage. As I've used the car regularly since then and added the miles, a number of things have gone wrong with the car. I can't say whether I have been unlucky, or whether the things that have gone wrong on my car are common - it now has just under 50 000km:
1) Brake pads are expensive. Unreasonably expensive, but you can find suitable pads on eBay for a fraction of the originals.Find out what original pads cost for a laugh.
2) I had two coolant hoses split at different times within a few months of me buying the car - both needed the inlet manifold to be removed to replace the hoses.
3) The alternator needed to be overhauled - once again the inlet manifold needed to come off.
4) Both front suspension lower control arm bushes have needed replacing.
5) Steering rack tie rod ends have been replaced
6) Coolant bottle has needed to be replaced - apparently they get brittle and crack
7) Both the driver's side and the passenger side window winder regulators have been replaced. A small plastic guide for the cable breaks.
8) The valve variators still need to be replaced - this is expensive. Very expensive. Did I mention expensive? In my case, there is a rattle from the engine when the car is hot and you're edging forward slowly on and off the accelerator, like driving in a traffic jam.
You'll need deeeep pockets to maintain a QP, but it IS a gorgeous car. Go into this with your eyes wide open.
