QPV Headlight bulbs

Just a quick one if I may. To get to any of the bulbs in the headlight units is it through the wheel arch or are any accessible from the engine bay with the covers removed. I'm particularly interested on the DRL bulb.

Thanks
Ian.

You have to go in through the wheel arches as you will see from the video below. For things like the outer bulbs (indicator and side light) HR Owen would turn the wheel full lock and peel back the front of the liner - but I guess you have to know what you are feeling for with experience. For the rest of us, probably better to remove the wheel and whole liner.

I bet they still charge the time allowed to remove the wheel and full arch liner though
Probably nowadays. Since they split off the Maserati and Ferrari operation in Park Royal things started to change. When they were as one, you’d get lots of free, complementary services and access to top technicians who knew Maseratis and Ferraris so well. I had installed LED sidelights, one of them had come loose and watched as their lead technician did the wheel lock technique.

Since they moved to a stand-alone Maserati service, I noticed their attitude changed. This wouldn’t happen now. So glad I found the likes of Joe Macari and independents, Autofficina who do this sort of complementary stuff for regulars.

@IanU - dead thread revive here, did you achieve access via the engine bay or is it strictly wheel arch liners off?
I ended up taking them off anyway to get a good look at what was behind there for future reference. Also an opportunity to sort out rusted bolts etc holding them on too.
