For keeping the car a long time I would not worry. What you are getting for the money is amazing and fully sorted so it will still give good value. Sure cheaper always helps but there is not a lot of stock out there to choose from. Just get rid of the naff number plate.Hi everyone,
I had a sleepless night after reading these messages.
I am to be the new owner having been the highest bidder during the auction and raising my bid slightly after.
I am now worried I have massively overpaid. What would you think was a better price? 27k?
I plan on keeping the car a very long time so it’s not really a big issue, to me it just looked like a really nice spec and well looked after. Conearo also said in one of his posts it wanted for nothing having been serviced and had brakes all round as well as underbody rust treatment. The tyres were recently fitted as well.
I am keen to see what you think as yes, I know I could have paid slightly more and got one from a dealer.
The white was a non starter after how long it has been standing around for and Richard did message me about his black one, and a month ago to mee it was too much money, but maybe it just didn’t pull at my heart in that spec.
One confused and anxious Dom
Thanks guys, it will become another car based in Wimbledon.
What colour is that? I think that photo is enough to convince anyone they should buy one!!Morning Dom - you should be having sleepless nights through excitement in anticipation of picking it up. Looks lovely. We’ve had ours 3 years now and it’s still awesome. Gives me an excuse to post my favourite picture of ours on the France/Spain border. Make sure your first trip includes a tunnel or two.View attachment 76010

Nope. It’s Grigio Alfieri - one of those colours that can look very different depending on the light - sometimes silver, sometimes grey and on that day a kind of purple-grey.Never seen that colour before, is it unobtainium?

Congratulations Dom, and welcome. Thanks guys, it will become another car based in Wimbledon.
Usual bits and bobs like the owners manual, service handbook, tool kit in the boot.So I pick the car up tomorrow.. can’t wait!
What are the things I need to check it has other than 2 keys and the service history etc.
From memory the 3200 had a red master key that you had to have... is there anything like that for the Quattroporte?
