QP5 Project

I have a 2007 QP5 in right now that is going to be sold by the owner as-is. She (a spritely lady in her 70's) inherited it from her late husband after he suddenly passed away. The car had been sitting for some time whilst the estate was sorted out and then she recently tried to MOT it. The car was brought to me for repair but she cannot afford to go ahead.

The good bit is that it's in lovely condition up top (I'll get some pictures tomorrow) and just 50k miles. The bad bit is that it needs a front subframe, wheel bearing, rear spring and front brakes. Even buying used parts where we can, the labour means the prospective bill is too much. But for a DIYer it might be a nice project.

I must state that I am not getting involved with the sale of this car in any way other than posting about it on here. I will be completely honest about the condition to any prospective purchasers but that's' where my involvement ends. Cheers....

Well spec'd too... Executive GT.

Wish I had picnic tables and climate control in the back...

Climate control in the back is brilliant. Especially in this weather as the kids love the ventilated seats.

Have they learnt how to crush to death the person in the passenger seat, via the read centre armrest control? :D

Indeed. This is why it'd suit a DIYer
Explain again in layman's English why subframe and DIY never existed in the same sentence uttered by a sober man.
If I had a four post life and useful spanner handler friend + plenty spare time + funds for the specialist welding I might..............
.... no...... .....hang on......I have a job that provides my income..............and I love with someone who wants to spend non work hours with me.................send it to Sportsmaserati
If I was ever single again - I might take on the job on my own well loved car. But mine is already done.

They’ve not found that one yet Yesterday they managed to get their PlayStation working on the rear screen so that kept them busy. With the rear aircon, reclining seats and rear blinds it’s a great place to spend time in.

Totally agree would love to do it especially if I could find a subframe as good as the one I got last year.
Problem at the moment is the CV19 and potentially aiming to be locked down again.
