Hi,
The fix is easy once you get in. You'll need a trim removal tool, a torx head screw driver and a Phillips screw driver.
Remove cover nearest headlining with the trim removal tool - just prizes off. Hold base of mirror and push upwards in same plane as the windscreen. It should slide up a few centimetres and then is released form the retaining 'shoe'. Once released mirror can be tightened with the torx screw, and retaining plate with the Phillips. To quote the good old Haynes manual ' refitting is the reverse of the removal'. Job done - No more shaky views of traffic disappearing behind you!!!
Trim removal tool also useful for removing the door trim - which will probably come in handy one day.
