I was there and watched it, madness!
Was only to get a wheel alignment, and ended up writing this and another customers car off as mine went lunging into it.
So it went through their insurance and deemed a write off.
Bonnet, bumper, wing, undertrays, headlight, grille etc.
The quote to repair was edging on 12k

On the plus side, if anyone sees a black QP at Copart rest assured, it's mechanically sound and a single previous owner lol

Worth buying off the insurance company. I assume the damage is superficial and not structural?

So sorry to read this, what on earth happend ?

Took the car for the hunter tracking, car was at the other side of the carpark, so they went to take it wide to the bay, car lurched forward at speed and smashed into another car that was literally parked 30 secs before.

Mainly been written off as I didn't want a repair, new parts or not at all!
That and some parts on a crazy undefined wait and it makes it not viable.
Shame as was a good one, was the guys that owned Clarks shoes who had it since new lol

It looks repairable to me. It's a shame you have taken the "new parts or nothing stance" but each to their own.

Car lurching forward - you mean the idiot moving it pressed the accelerator pedal and expected it to move like a ford fiesta....

@Mr Spoon could fix all that in a weekend!

But seriously, sorry to hear about this!

I'm becoming more surprised at how pleasing these cars are to work with in comparison to a Porsche.

I have a roll of black nasty. It kept me going in HM forces, I'm sure a QP would be a walk in the park

I suspect 'Idiot wants to rev the engine a bit, but forgets that they are in Drive'.

My position would have been 'Your fault. You need to pay for perfect repair or equivalent replacement - see you in Court', but I recognise that it can be tough to sort this sort of thing out satisfactorily.

Yes exactly. Kwik fits insurance (possibly) have no legal standing to write the car off, thats the OP's insurance companies position. With the claim not being paid by them, I am amazed this hasn't been repaired.
