So had a few hours working on this today, got the battery charged up, removed seats and carpets and gave the interior a real good clean. Opened the bonnet, oil and filter swap and topped up fluids and did a manual turn over to check all still free. Will hopefully try to fire her up over the weekend assuming I can get the immobiliser to disarm.

Well there she blows, pinched the battery of the Alfa, turned the key and the old girl fired up no trouble at all. No unhealthy noises and settles into a smooth idle with that lovely V8 burble made better by having no rear boxes in the exhaust system.

Next stage is to get her to move from where she has been parked for 18 months and then give her a good clean.

OK now moved, got it out of it parking spot and on to the drive. A few runs up our shared private road, clutch, brakes, steering all fine, electrics might need some work, 3 windows open one is stuck, central locking has always been a bit hit and miss and the alarm keeps triggering setting of the indicators (horn disconnected) but all in all not too bad.

Now I have access time to give it a thorough wash before taking some photos and advertising it on the normal classic for sale sites.
