Purely as an investment...

Following from the thread discussing the Alfa 4C, using investment (i.e. financial gain) as the only criteria, what car would you buy with a budget of £45k? Let’s set the time frame as 10 to 20 years.

In the spirit of the forum, I’ll kick off with:
Ghibli Cup
But outside of Maserati,
Porsche 911 (996) 40 Jahre

Anything limited production numbers (less than 150, or cars remaining).
Ideally at least two of the following - naturally aspirated, hydraulic steering, manual gearbox.
so an Evora 410?

Maybe numbers made are too high, but for 45k I think a nice r107 SL or a manual 4.7 vantage is a pretty safe bet over 10-20 years. Citroen DS still a way to go maybe?

For less money, maybe a bentley Arnage and an R53 cooper S. Hopefully a GR86 too!

Where to find one in that price range...? I did a quick AutoTrader scan in the US and the cheapest F car I found is...well, one that is known to me.
Ewan started the thread with good old English pounds and if you look on UK sites you could be surprised Den.

The 456 fits into the budget, just, as would a passable example of a 400i. The only other Ferrari options at this price would be a Mondial or 308 GT4.
For obvious personal reasons, I hope the 400i does the best out of that list.

All three of those, actually.

My real money is on @Ewan 's Lambo tractor.

I had a quick look on 'How Many Left" and the first thing that caught my eye was an Applied Sweeper 414 RS.
266 made and only 58 left. And you could buy up around 5 of them for the budget
