Prepare for carnage

I have no problem with them as long as they abide by the rules of the road. Also as I think with cyclists they need insurance to be on the road with other insured vehicles.

Weird thing is 15mph will be over/under taking most of London traffic as their average is 8mph!

Even helmets are not mandatary or law just advised.

Good news someone to aim at when out and about. I raced one of these on my mountain bike when he came up behind me, young lad, I said I ain't letting a battery powered Vibrator get past my bike and pedaled as hard as I could, soon put a big gap between him and myself, he didn't look impressed lol.

Are they trying to increase the death rate even further?
And probably use it as an excuse ro ban cars... think I may turn off the 'city safe' system in our car, the number of times this auto brakes now does my head in, it will only get worse.

I have had one of these on my birthday wish list for about 5 years now. But nobody ever buys me one......

I agree, it will be carnage on both pavements and roads, not to mention pedestrianised areas. The police have better things to do than try and police this.

Didn't know they are not legal for private use, my neighbours 10 year old son is always flying around the lanes on one, I think a phone call might be in order!

Mrs MLC told me a while back that McLaren have been working on an electric scooter. They plan to sell them for a hugely extortionate amount of money that only the obscenely rich or unbelievably stupid could buy.
The project was well underway till she got involved. She told them that they are not road legal and that they couldn't be used on UK roads. The Project Manager and various others senior managers jaws dropped.
Now do you understand why McLaren need that loan...

I doubt it will be that bad.

They want to introduce any means possible to reduce travel on public transport, due to CoVID.

If they just follow that same routes cyclists take in London, I don't see the big deal.

A way to turn up to work, in a large city, without taking public transport, without being sweaty on arrival from cycling.

Doesn't really bother me.

BUT like anything, there will be idiots who use them. But, there are idiots who drive cars. There are idiots on public transport. Etc etc etc.

They don't pay road tax so f*ck 'em, survival of the fittest. If they survive head butting an artic, then they deserve to live. Just ask Zanardi how to do it.
