Pre-owned Maseratis....Trader/Private seller ratio

Just browsing AT and looking at a few bits and bobs, seeing as the our cat is all out of conversation this am.....

Noting a ratio of 3-1 trader versus private seller for the GS, 4-1 for the 4200, 11 for sale all traders 3200.......and even for the GT its 16 - 1.....thoughts?

I guess a lot of people owning these cars haven't got the time or inclination to sell privately and a lot of buyers like the perceived security of buying from a dealer

I personally wanted to get a car privately as I felt if I could find the right car I'd get better value for money, I also sell all my cars privately as I can't abide giving my car to a trader for thousands less than it's worth

Though if money wasn't an issue to me if probably do everything via the trade for convenience

I bought my Maser privately,as I do with all my cars....Dealers have to make a profit,which is fair enough....but being on the edge of the motor trade for over 40 years I personally wouldn't trust any of them!
