I have been offered out of the blue what i think is a very good deal on a Granturismo Sport MC 2014 31k miles serviced last july with Maserati 1500 miles ago, sold only last year to current owner via same Maserati dealer 2 previous owners. £32500 private sale good deal?

Get a clutch reading, it does look a lovely car. The interior is my favourite colour, not with everyone but looks stunning in the flesh.

That does seem a very good deal! Depending on spec, colours etc.
However.... Go in with eyes open and I'd advise getting a ppi done on it, as there's a few things that could need doing that could makes it seem not quite so cheap.
When you say sport MC, do you mean Mc-shift? Or MC auto?

If its the MC-shift (my preferred option, but each to their own ) then 31k miles is getting into new clutch territory, (£2.5-3k) so I'd want a clutch reading done minimum.

Also, if it were to need tyres, and brakes as well, then the price starts looking closer to market anyway. Still might be worth having though.

Good luck. I hope its a good one and you get a cracking car for not much money!

The last service invoice should tell you most of what you need to know because if anything was needed the Dealer would certainly have commented.
Valve cover gaskets too.
Another item that can be costly if you have to pay.

Seems like a good price but some questions to ask ....

2014 model should be serviced every 2 years (i.e. should have evidence of 2016 & 2018 services as minimum) or at 12500 and 25000 if sooner.

This was serviced in 2019 at 30000 miles.

Why?

Assume as it was sold by Maserati 4 months ago it was prepped and serviced 2 months prior when it was part ex on a Ferrari you would of thought it was checked over ?? There is also a warranty on it payed up front with 5k claim limit up to £40,000 £50 hour rate . I had called Maserati and they said its not uncommon they wouldn’t warranty it but put a third party on due to age ? Couldn’t get anything much out the dealer except it’s been service correctly couldn’t tell me what due to data protection . I’d assume as they have serviced it 1000 miles ago prepped for sale and sold it in a Ferrari dealer it will be in good shape, the dealer payed for the warranty upfront ive been told Warrantywise platinum 24 months so 19 months left.

Clutch Wear 22.41 % , front discs 45% rear Dsics 10% , Front rear pads changed 23/07/19 , regarding service serviced in July 18 as per the 2 year service then following year july 19 prior to sale.

From experience the July 19 service would have been a lube service as Sales don't want to pay for anything.

That does seem remarkable value.

It does its due to a time issue car would be sitting months as owner works abroad so this is a one off was bought 4 monhts ago 1000 miles only at £12k more.

Im sure its soemthing like that but pads were changed at that time so they woiuld of done some sort of inspection maybe being naive .

I recently switched my 2014 MC for a Stradale and based on those clutch and disc readings I would say that's a bargain. I assume it is not a 'marmite car' in terms of colours. I loved every one of the 12000 miles I drove mine so go for it!

It sounds like it's had a clutch already then and the brakes are OK, they're the wear and tear items.. And with 19mths remaining on the warranty you haven't really got to worry too much about any nasty surprises!

To be honest, it seems a proper bargain. Looking at what else is out there (which I have been lately) it would seem a no brainer.

Its slighly marmite depends what you like wouldnt be my first choice of colour! but at the price .
Do it, that's a bargain!
Only thing is i cannot get a PPI done owner is happy to get it done but it will be sold within days at this price due to it being miles away from anywhere who will look at it 100%, i have even spoke to autosheild worse case variators and clutch which looks ok. My logic as im in cheap enough to get out if one of these needs doing down the line

Its a Mc Shift mechanical R 1 Box not a auto

Yes MC Shift with a clutch. Like my old car but the facelift version.

Mate at 32.5k you can afford to not get a PPI and if there is something that needs doing then so be it. Just make sure you drive it and check for any knocks and bangs as these cars eat suspension bushes for fun. Check uneven tyre wear on the inside fronts and factor in new tyres if worn and also four wheel alignment properly done with shims. Brakes and clutch are good for two years (12k miles) so no issues there. Check it all over for any accident damage and all the big bill stuff will be sorted under warranty. The engines are pretty bullet proof anyway....
