I would definitely buy Lavazza’s car over the 2008 you went to see. Big brake upgrade and clearly a very cherished car. No contest in my eyes.
Yes and no... Lavazza's car is superb... But it's almost double the miles... I have a friend in the trade - his mantra is there are certain things you can improve on with a bit of money - bodywork, interrior and chassis/drivetrain for example. What you cannot improve for all the money in the world is the one owner, completely original low mileage examples with provenance and impecable service history from a known specialist. Unfortunately for me, and I guess fortunately for Lavazza, McGrath gave the car a clean bill of health an hour ago and the chap who beat me to it on the phone got it for £25k...
