The oil pressure wouldn't worry me too much, if the car really has no oil pressure you'd know all about it by now. I'd put money on it being the sender or a bad earth. Same with end-float, seems to happen earlier if it's going to happen. The 40k without any history would bother me though, that's a belt service minimum, ideally chains as they haven't been done, plus you can expect wishbones and brakes to need attention, a set of leaky dampers would upset you too. Throw in four new tyres and you're up to £10k pretty damne quickly!
However, quick drive and crawl around will tell you about wishbones/shocks/brakes, and some detectivce work might yield a history, how many specialists are there after all?
