it sounds like a lemon really, if 3k gets it right then its a bargain but that will bring it up to 9k and you will still have no keys and no history and its green!! the more i think about it the more its not worth it, you can get a lower miles easier to sell on with full history for 10k and 13k buys mint ones

was going to have a look at it for anyone who wanted it but looking at it i knew it was a bad one, 11k you get a good one i mean when it comes for me to sell by end of the year ill be looking for 15k and mines got 48k with full history cambelt done, excellent bodywork, with the new wheels theres no faults so thats tooo expensive so say itll be 10k and still not sure about 98k

i know andy, i love my manuals you know that what with gtv v6 and m5 but when i was buying everyone put me off with huge bills for clutches and endfloats so went safe, i dont regret it as its suits the engine, foot to the floor you hear it go mad no gear changes it aint bad

I'm sure it greats Dem.....I dont' now its just that because it was made as a more focused 3200 an auto seems at odds with why it was made..But hey you own it and I've never driven the auto only a manual AC..

The oil pressure wouldn't worry me too much, if the car really has no oil pressure you'd know all about it by now. I'd put money on it being the sender or a bad earth. Same with end-float, seems to happen earlier if it's going to happen. The 40k without any history would bother me though, that's a belt service minimum, ideally chains as they haven't been done, plus you can expect wishbones and brakes to need attention, a set of leaky dampers would upset you too. Throw in four new tyres and you're up to £10k pretty damne quickly!

However, quick drive and crawl around will tell you about wishbones/shocks/brakes, and some detectivce work might yield a history, how many specialists are there after all?

One for the gifted home mechanic I reckon.
