Porsche 944 S2

My 944 is unexpectedly up for sale. I looked hard for the best S2 I could find, then authorised about £10k of work to make it neigh on perfect and future proof. But another Porsche I’ve been after has cropped up, so the sensible decision is to relinquish this one. Smart enough to grace any collection, or practical enough to be a daily. Your choice.

Can be bought from me privately at an advantageous price. PM if interested.

Ah...rumbled! I've been offered a lovely blue 928 GTS, privately, at about £35k (which is around about the going rate). But I've also agreed the purchase of a 968 Club Sport. So it may be a one-out, two-in, situation.

I know and that doesn’t include the taxes.
Nice tho, perhaps a bit too blue, but a decent cared for example.
They’re taxing big engined cars Down here out of existence. Shame.

968 Clubsport would be one my wishlist, the 944 looks lovely but just a year too young to slide into Ireland under the Classic rules, needs to be 30 years old

Looks like a nice car. A 944 was my first proper sports car that I bought when I was 24. I became so obsessed that I ended up being the Porsche Club 944 model register secretary! All a very long time ago now, but good times.

Was looking for a 928 GT or GTS for about a year before buying my Maserati, back in 2011.
At that time, a good one was around £20k.
Problem was I couldn't find a good one!
So much **** on the market back then, and 4200's dropped within range, much younger, lower mileages, much better condition.
I still like them but really can be crippling to maintain. One that I nearly bought came back up for sale a couple of years later, the amount of money spent in that short period of time was nearly as much as the original purchase price 2 years before!
The funny thing is, even the 928 owners club think the current advertised prices are totally unrealistic for many cars.

No problem Andy. Buy it now and I’ll store it for you for a year and then send it over. Simples!

Manual or auto 928 Ewan.?
It seems the unscrupulous are passing off 968 sports as club sports. Now they are identical cars (sport is a UK only specced up CS) off the same production line, same chassis no runs etc but the money is in those registered originally as CS.
There was one at (I think) silverstone auctions recently all badged up as a CS but was originally a sport. It made for interesting discussion. Cracking cars all the same.
