Poly Bushes

Just had my service and have been recommended to replace shock and drop arm bushes. Has anyone considered using poly bushes and if so what is the benefit apart from longer life?

Did you go to Emblem Stevo?

You can buy the OEM bushes from the likes of Eurospares and Superformance for some of the suspension parts but for the control arms I think like the Coupes you need to buy a whole replacement arm!

As for poly bushes we just fitted Powerflex ones to our Audi track toy and whilst not cheap they should improve handling but for road use and on a GT I would think they will kill the ride and make it too harsh.

I think the OE bushes on the GT come as a kit and you end up replacing all of them at once which makes sense so that you get even wear. That's what was done on my GT prior to collecting it when I first bought

Can squeak quite badly if not lubricated sufficiently (ooo err) and can be a ***** to fit compared to a stock bush.

There are sometimes different compounds available.

It does give extra precision and less flex, but gut feeling is that it wouldn't suit or work that we'll on a granturismo.
