Political Correctness

So one of my stepsons was traditionally 'normal' and of he went to University in London. Fast forward 3 years and he returned to the north as vegetarian, bi-sexual and in debt to the tune of £50,000.
As long as he is happy and healthy that is all that really matters. We are all different in many ways, it would be a boring old place otherwise.

Talking about political correctness on a Maserati forum?
Interesting, to the Greta leaning fraternity (who appear to be taking over most governments) one of the most politically incorrect vehicles around!
Gas guzzling, noise pollution etc. etc. Obviously, also only owned by rich, brash, middle aged white men. It must be stopped!!

Even talking about maseratis will probably be banned soon as it will offend someone, somewhere.
I fear for the very existence of the site.

Person A:
"Er, could you not call that stupid-looking car 'gay', please? I know its a small thing, but it perpetuates a negative stereotype."

Person B:
Even talking about maseratis will probably be banned soon as it will offend someone, somewhere.

Person A:
"What?"

Item in the paper today about the firm “Handymen” missing out on a grant because the name is sexist !
In my mind that is political correctness gone mad, just asked my wife what a “handyman” is and she said “someone who come round to do little jobs” she managed to get her head round the fact it doesn’t have to be a man with out being promoted.

I still make the odd faux pa using language that was perfectly acceptable once but is now deemed to be offensive. All I can do is apologise when it’s pointed out to me.

I'm the 70's generation, so no point me putting my ten penneth forward!!!! But, in terms of the lunacy of PC.... I have seen the word
" Boll@cks" having been used several times..... surely this word is banned in terms of PC as it is purely a mail attribute, but equally please do not say " it gets on your T!Ts" as this is purely a female attribute and you must not use any gender bias. So, for the sake of creating no offence, I suggest if you do get a little annoyed with something - please use the phrase " upset or tearful" then I'm sure you will please everyone :) ....... What a load of old ..............

I'm not sure which part I find hardest to deal with but I suspect it's the student debt as he has taken the view that provided he earns below the threshold then it's not something he needs to worry about!

I'd be more offended by the fact that he's a vegetarian!

Perhaps this thread isn't for me......

Instead of saying ‘ it gets on my T!Ts, maybe you could just say ‘ it gets on my moobs’.

I wonder what the easily offended would make of that?!

Plus, probably a more accurate description to be honest.

3. Government withdraws 'sexist' Stay Home advert
The government has withdrawn a social media advert urging people to "Stay Home. Save Lives" after it was criticised for stereotyping women. The image showed women home schooling children and doing domestic chores, while the only man featured was depicted relaxing on a sofa. The infographic was withdrawn after going viral on social media and facing criticism for being "sexist". The government said the ad did "not reflect" its "view on women".
Government Covid

Another classic from today.

I’d be more concerned by the woman in the second house, she looks like she may be about to iron her child.

you could spin it to say it demonstrates that the men are out spreading the virus... which I find offensive.

Or that the households are same sex and the female partner is out working etc... so that offends guy males who are not represented.

Tiss gonads.
