Done. But why are Mercedes, BMW and Cadillac identified as close alternative?

Do they understand the difference between luxury supercar and run of the mill.

Cadillac. Grief. Absolutely dreadful the ones I've had to endure.

I think its because of the Ghibli ….Maserati have done this to themselves as they pitched the Ghibli as a company car and alternative. Plus lots of talk about them being a Jaguar competitor back then....

Having owned Jaguars almost continually for twenty years I switched to my current Diesel Ghibli in 2015 for that reason. To me, Maserati were picking up from Jaguar, offering something unique in terms of styling, and when specced up the kind of cabin luxury that used to be something that Jaguar were good at.
Additionally, and whilst this admittedaly for the traditional buyer spending £100k or more was leveraging (read cheapening) the brand name, buying a Ghibli allows for someone on a 'more limited' budget like me entry into the exotic brand territory.
As a side note, it's good to see Jaguar going back in the right direction with at first the I Pace (albeit rather too expensive), and now the newly announced, revised XF and F Pace at last providing the cabin design and finish that are deserved of the Jaguar badge.

completed, but can't believe the questions that are not in there!!! like do you own a Maserati! or have you ever owned a Maserati, would you recommend it to other people? They are not even touching on some of the issues that really affect peoples buying decisions, like support after sales and also reputation, which are some of Maseratis weak spots. I do hate surveys that dont ask me the questions I want to answer :) . I will get of my soap box and get my coat now.
You have a good eye sir, Those questions are on a separate survey done by a different group, we are just focused on the positioning but we would love to hear from you about these opinions if you want to dm me about these issues and what your opinion is about them it can really help on or research, thanks again for doing or survey

Bear in mind that not many of us would likely buy brand new.....! We like lovely cars that have had a very steep depreciation until the point we can afford it, and then speculate wistfully about when the value will bounce back....
