I wonder if anyone has ever looked at the demographics of Maserati owners. There’s a surprising number of offshore workers and railwaymen on here.

One of our now retired train drivers used to get the cold shoulder from management on a regular basis for parking his two consecutively owned Granturismos under their office window in the car park at Crewe, they didn't like it one bit, it made their company Mercs and BMWs look decidedly pedestrian at the time!

I know mine is just a lowly De Tomaso era four door, but if you'd have told me five years ago I'd be the owner of a Maserati of any description I'd have probably rolled my eyes a bit and laughed....

Plan is to get it over to Migliore or Shiltec some time and get the engine bay refurbished and tidied up properly (and at some point change those BMW-ish looking wheels for something else).

I quite like those wheels, I think they’re the factory ones

I know they're kosher OEM wheels, but I fancy something else really. Been going through the history file and it's had some dosh spent on it over the years, the s/steel exhaust that's on it was fitted way back in 1995. It appears to have had a replacement gearbox at some point too. Some of the neat little things on it are giving me a rather childlike joy - there's even a trident logo on one of the rubber straps holding the air filter box lid down!

What size are they. Getting 15” tyres for the Vette in anything decent is a bit of a challenge nowadays. Maybe you could get something 16” but still 80s looking. Worth a check on tyres before deciding on the wheels.

They're 15s.

I thought the wheel choice for Vettes was pretty good isn't it... pukka Chevy Rallys, AR Torque Thrusts, Cragars etc...?

True that, I have 2 sets of ultra rare MRT carbon fibre wheels for my Corvette, and finding good tires in 15" is all but impossible. I had those BBS basket weave wheels on my Biturbo and liked them.
