Still don’t think you can get points for incorrectly spaced or altered plates

hard one that, think the government are looking to clamp down and all sorts of speculations with either large fines and/or points and then confiscation, suppose it depends on how much the plate has been altered

I got stopped with a highly altered plate on one of my cars in about 2012 - max penalty £30 fine no points, reported to dvla who apparently can recall plate.
I believe someone posted on here that a bill has been proposed and going through government at the moment that is very strict and will include points.
But for now, it’s no points
