My neck of the woods, Sam. Separated from it now by a small amount of water. Back in a long-ago life I used to sail out of Mersea and cavort with youthful abandon on the beach and in the sea. Lovely place, happy memories.

My brother has lived there for about at least 15 years or so and I have attended a fair number of the annual regattas.
Still remember the trip over the Blackwater on his stag do in unbelievable powerboat 16 of us with “two dogs pete” at the helm

That's good and what we like to hear.
We actually have only infrequent dealings with boat surveyors in the UK, as for much coating work on leisure yachts, their skills are not necessary. It's in the superyacht market that we spend most time with surveyors, specifiers, etc.
