Great visibility in that compared to a modern car. Look how much glass area there is, it’s like a greenhouse!

No need for parking sensors, reverse cameras and blind spot monitors there..

Look how small and respectable the kidney shaped grille is on older BMWs...

Big is not always better as (inset name's) Mrs says....

My older brother had this very same car in the mid 70's. One time he forgot that he had left the drivers door open when reversing from a space next to a lampost. He managed to rip the drivers door off its hinges and completely crumple the wing. It was his first company car...bet his boss wasn't too happy. :mock8:

Today I have mostly been thinking about this...

One of my favourite cars I got to drive on MC, racked up about 800 miles in it, about 10 times the normal amount of miles you get to play with an owners’ car, over a week. LHD and an enormous chin spoiler makes it a challenge in the UK, but I loved it. Many memorable moments, not all of them publishable publicly, but I remember my first inkling of the real performance potential. Changing down in fifth to fourth at 70mph I was a bit disappointed by the in gear thrust. Then I noticed that it hadn’t really come on cam yet, let alone spooled up the turbos.
Those turbos are Garret T25s, of which the Escort Cosworth has just one...
A car for which the British road network is just too small...

Final price: € 56,990.-
Mileage: 170,000 km
First registration: 04/1990

Do want a V8 Touring
I think after the B12 5.7 E31, B10 Biturbo and the RLE Alpina changed. I recently drove a B8 4.6 E36 and was expecting a bit of a monster (at 1000rpm it produces the same torque as the E36 M3 does at its peak...) but it was actually a very smooth vehicle. While the comfortable high speed cruiser thing works well for Alpina, I do wish they'd do something bonkers like the B6 3.5 S with the M2. Sadly I don't think that's likely to happen.

The e90 GT3 was supposed to be a bit bonkers but I’ve never even seen one.
