How about this one in today's world of Covid looking for the locking wheel nut and service book.

Genuine question, do you think that driving a long distance for a service is really essential right now, or even allowed. Personally, if I was buying a car in a years time and saw that the service had been neglected, I would be inclined to make an allowance for obvious reasons. There is only one place within fifty miles from where I live that I would take my car for it’s service, I’m not prepared to do that at present.

Totally agreed in 2020 I only did 8,500 kilometres in 3 cars and that included a trip to the UK before the first lockdown.
Looking at how this year has started I'm wondering how many will be done this year.

Absolutely, but so many times you hear someone say, stay clear of that car it hasn’t had its yearly service, even though it’s only travelled a couple of thousand miles in that year. Don’t get me wrong, irrespective of mileage I have had my cars serviced yearly in the past, but unfortunately things have changed and that is not going to be possible for a lot of people. So we have to be realistic and use some common sense.

Always have mine transported down for its service...OK it may cost a little more, but it is rare that the car can be turned around in a day (as something always crops up) and if you take off the lost work time and fuel/miles saved the cost is minimal.

Great Choice and clearly you are aware that cars with a Rosso interior are much faster than others.
Enjoy!

I'd say that's a matter entirely for you and the dealer, looking at how you live, where you go and so on. I collected mine from a service and MoT this week. Distance away is irrelevant (ignoring the risks of an accident = strain on NHS etc). As I know that the dealer has virtually sealed its premises (doors locked - knock and they'll collect you), temp checks anyone coming in, mandates sanitiser, masks and social distancing, has installed perspex screens between staff and customers (one at a time, by the way... not that there was anyone else there when I went) and uses covers on the steering wheel, gloves on staff, thoroughly cleans cars inside before handover etc etc (the list goes on) I was pretty confident that the risk was as low as it could possibly be.

Keep in mind that MoTs are still mandatory.
