When I was a kid I sat in the seat where Jochen Rindt once sat. Just watched a tribute on YouTube made by SkyF1 a couple of weeks ago to mark the 50th year of his passing. Made me realise why Maserati and Lotus figure so highly in my life. Must admit it did bring a tear to my eye...

I went to the documentary on Rindt, It was great. Got me to thinking......

Perhaps he should have connected all 5 harness points. The crotch strap is arguably vital as it stops you sliding under the rest of the harness. It’s better to end up talking a couple of octaves higher than it is being carried by 6 of your peers.
