Funny seeing tax discs in cars, here in Ireland they have the three pocket windscreen sticker, costs like 7 Euro, for your Insurance, NCT (MOT) and Motor Tax (Road Tax) or two if new car, no NCT needed for a bit...

That’s the 1973 RAC winning works car (Makinen and Linden) but being driven by Jussi Kynsilehto on 1000 lakes I think Jussi is famous for that one photo.

Fords Allens of Romford used to have a pretty much blanket allocation from DVLA for all of the OOO registrations, the dealer principle lived just down the road from me and would have a new car every 1st August and one year got the registration OOO000K on a Granada Ghia Estate,the plate he kept for the rest of his days but on his second car so he could still boast a new car every year!
