I was really surprised with a Peugeot 407 Coupe V6 diesel same as in the Jaguar range but FWD.
Loaded with options and cheap as chips in the UK.
Their will be criticism from many but I would own one after driving one.

Agree Phil....for years I said I wouldn't have a diesel but when I had one for the commut I changed my mind. My latest C250 is a really lovely car. Handles well and is pretty quick...and for a diesel sounds pretty good when giving it some.

Mpg Andy? I don’t know what to get, especially as the devils fuel is up to 12p a litre more in some places round here, had a Passat for 10 years and generally got 50; but my Petrol Golf is getting 37-40; so going diesel may not be cheaper other than the purchase price,
More confused than ever...

I get 62 out of mine on the 40 mile trip to work. Didn’t think that was bad for a 220 bhp car.
