When driving a sports saloon required high driving skills unless you wanted to visit the scenery! I think it was also possible to more than double the list price with optional extras! Not taxed in 40 years? A sort of barn find?
In the storage where my son keeps his Rally Car along with many other Classics.

I reckon that’s a repro tax disc. It’s a bit of a thing with the Mini people.

My Dad had a 316 e21. Orange with tan cloth. His first proper car since getting rid of the Lotus for a Viva when we came along. He said the 316 was a piece of **** but I loved it. I remember him being stopped by a panda car and saying to the officer “just trying to keep the traffic flowing”.

A favourite for us children was sideways off 5 Ways roundabout in Birmingham past Faulke’s Furriers. How 1980s is that? Sideways in an e21 past a place that sells minks!

Guilty, E30 in the snow of winter 97(?) I just thought about pressing the throttle after turning right into a side road and around she came. Luckily it was 3am and no one saw me...
