I grew up in Lincoln, where Avro Vulcans were always flying. Another Woodford product, Silvercat?
Three cracking machines so far :)
Absolutely! Had an Avro Vulcan parked up outside my office window for years. I think it's the one which they have now got taxiing again under its own engine power although I doubt it will ever fly again. Fantastic iconic machines of yesteryear.

I'd go for the Maxi all day long, especially with the 1800 engine and those fold down flat front seats ;)

Come on Dave the Renault 16 TS or TX is far superior mate and highly regarded by Sir Stirling Moss back in the day.
Don't remember him getting excited over the Maxi.

Don’t forget the rear seat’s back that could also be folded all the way down to make a comfy bed. I recall there was even some little wire leg contraption under the seat so you could raise it level with the flattened back rest.
Is there a British Leyland “other car marques” section below Aston Martin on this forum? I haven’t checked.

We had a forum trip to see it at Doncaster a few years ago. Fantastic to get up close and to hear some fascinating stories from the guides. They confirmed it will almost certainly never fly again - they have plenty of engines and the plane is airworthy but the company that they use to certify it can't get insured to do so.
