Having seen a bill for an engine rebuild, not only does that LOOK expensive but IS expensive. If I were the owner, I'd scrap it. Seriously you're looking at £20,000, my older 4200 had a rebuild at £16k and that was a few bent valve stems and piston.

They say they are rebuilding it but I would do a engine swap as we all know what QPV's are worth sadly.

I rather like that, and the S1 XJ12 and S3 Daimler Sovereign he currently has.

I'm finding the S3 saloons really appealing now, back in the day the big impact absorbing bumpers put me off wanting one....

S1 XJ is a great car, those rocker switches across the dash had me when young and have never gone away, what's more they are surprisingly good drives even today, yes the 2.8 is a bit lethargic but way ahead of their time in the way they feel
