My Dad had a Gold Leaf Lotus Elan for himself when I was 10 years old for himself as he had 5 sons back then so the family car was his Heather Pink S1 Jaguar XJ6 that was a Great Time to be a boy and must have been better being an adult

I have a soft spot for these early Scimitars, one of the chaps in our local classic car meet bunch has one, a work in progress which oozes charm and '60s style. With triple SU carbs it sounds rather nice.
