Strange way of dropping it. The lift arms seem to be intact and to be in abt. the right place, in that respect they are "Elite". Glad I don't have top make that call: "Sorry sir, you're half day repair is going to take a little bit longer. But It'll be like brand new afterwards, no worries."

Yes! I used to pick up the soon to be Mrs Dr Eb from Paddington station in my Triumph Dolomite, parking between platforms 8 and 9.

When I worked at Old Oak Common we used to have a 'workabus' that ran up to Padd and back every half hour, a few of the drivers were proper nutters and came round the bend at the top of the taxi rank at a great rate of knots, occasionally skimming the cast iron walls on either side before descending down to the road between platforms 8 and 9. Happy days! One of the drivers was nicknamed 'sidesaddle' as he rarely looked straight ahead when driving the bus...

A mate of mine has been lucky enough to have driven it, and way back in the Summer of '75 I saw it being driven round Hammersmith Broadway on the way to one of the filming locations, festooned with camera gear

E21's are very pretty especially with a 6 pot motor.
I did own a few back in the 80's they were a good seller.
