Na, they left it parked there, It's a lot easier to clean up all the oil that pi**ed out of the engine on the painted tarmac bit:D

Funny boys.
It was a proper lightweight last of the air cooled 911 with full cage etc.
My mate who owned had several interesting cars and I looked after his E30 M3 Rally Car.
Sadly he was killed in a road accident in France a couple of years ago.
On this day at Silverstone we had Lambos and Ferraris pulling over to let us get by.
An amazing car now worth loads I bet.

Looks like the road painter didn't notice the beetle...

That made me chuckle but Beetles and Porsches are such good cars.

I just did an MOT check on my old 1969 Beetle. It’s still going strong. It went round the clock in the second owners hands. Went round the clock again in my ownership and is showing 74,000 miles on this year’s MOT which means it’s done 274,000 miles. Not bad going that.

lovely motors the 70's rsr's and rs lightweight and worth a small fortune now, do like the box arch e30 m3 evo as well, sounds like your mate had great taste in classic motorsport motors. who needs Ferraris and lambos with cars like that, they are just posers

The tow car for the M3 was an M5.
He also had a proper Integrale fully caged that he used to take to Spa.
Was a top bloke and a Gent to work for.
I'm telling no fibs Benny the 911 was quicker than the Italians mate.

Ironically if it wasn’t for the fact my neighbor had a Porsche I’d have gone that route and never even found out about the granturismo, I can’t work out why I didn’t know about it sooner, hugely underestimated and generally unknown car. Now I just need to show the rest of the world what the V8 sounds like :D

The MOT check is no guarantee that it's got the same engine or even chassis. ..

There’s a lack of German love here, they’re only hairy for the cold six months of the year. Italians are fat all year round.

Maybe not but you can at least walk into a VW dealers and order parts for one.
