photo shoot at the weekend

Hi All,

A young guy contacted me recently and asked if he could take some photos of my 4200. Here are the results, I think they turned out rather well.

The wheels have just been painted black. I've had one request for details of the exact colour and level of flake in the paint and I'm working on getting that information.

The grill mesh has also been replaced and I'm delighted with the result. The mesh itself is excellent quality and remarkably good value for what it is.

If only I could remove the external aerial, the car would really start to look like a much younger model.

Thanks a lot, gents. The more I spend time with this car, the better it feels to own and drive. All plans to sell (yes, I was considering it) have been canceled! Needless to say the Photoshop work was not mine. That required a spotty 18 year old with more petrol running through his veins than most of us owners.

at the risk of sounding cheesy, you're all an inspiration to me and owning a Maser does bring the enthusiast out in one. Jesse will post the pics of the wheel and grill refurb shortly, as soon as he pulls his proverbial out.

Hi Stu, Loads of great photo's and the car looks stunning. I like that in photo 7 even the hoarding is taking a peek! I might need to re-think my grill again as yours looks spot on. Cheers, Miles.

Thanks a lot, Miles. £24 for the grill mesh and not so much to get it fitted. It's worth every penny in my book. I hadn't noticed the crying baby taking a look. I was going for urban decay meets sartorial elegance or some other form of artistic masturbation

Grigio Nuvolari...may not be the fastest colour, but it is certainly the most elegant!

Thanks a lot, JP (you too, GTS). Is it just me or does the paint on mine now look darker than it did when I bought it? Maybe it was just the light that day or the filter the photographer used, or maybe the black wheels bring out the dark side of my car's personality...

Good eyes Stu.

Buster67 and I noticed this as well. We both have Grigio Nuvolari cars, but the paint on his '02 Coupe is clearly darker than mine. If you look at QPs or GTs in that color, you will also notice the lighter hue (see below link):
