Photo request - rear shock lower mounting

A favour please.

After the rear subframe overhaul I'm concerned I'm missing a spacer or washer on the rear shock lower mounting. Checked ES diagrams and looks like nothing is amiss.

The shocks are very close to the drive shafts and can't remember them being this close before, also a lot of spare thread.

Is it possible for a few photos similar to these?

Cheers Greg

Marios, thanks for the confirmation.

I've tried the locking two nuts together to drive the stud bar further into the drop link but it is solid.

If you want to see pictures for reference, here's mine before I changed it today.

These are the only photos i have of that part of the car. not sure if they help. I dont have the long thread protruding that you have in the picture so i think some thing is not quite right. Did you replace the lower bushes in the shocks?

Thanks for the pics, appreciate it.

I've got new drop links coming so will see if the stud is fully in then.

No, I didn't replace the lower shock bushes and re-installed as they came off.

It looks like you are missing a large washer either side of the bush. That will stop the nut tightening up into the rubber and it will move youf shock bottom away from the hub.

What he said :) but more as the thread extension you have seems way off?

in fact now i look at it from the middle picture off my car, the lower shock mount is a bolt with a blind section so you can tighten it without squashing the lower bush. For your thread to stick out that much you must have a regular bolt? is this perhaps not the right bolt you have in here? perhaps some one lost the bolt and just fitted some thing close? however this will squash the lower shock bush? not sure just a thought.

Thanks, as you say the sleeve is fixed to the hub and the shock is mounted directly onto this, with no additional spacers or washers which is the main thing for me.

It does look like the stud is either not fully into the drop link or the stud has been replaced with a non original part that's too long at some point.

I'll post a couple of pics when it's apart if your interested.
