Hi Everyone, Im in Perth, Western Australia (not Scotland), and I've a couple of questions if anyone is up for it - do you have your aircon serviced or repaired regularly and locally ?
I'm trying to locate the tx valve on my 3200 and get the system reinstated but I've been given the run around and running out of options.
Any advice or suggestions to others who may know would be great !
Cheers, Craig.

A good independent Air con shop is where I would start.
Don't forget the reciever drier which is a filter and they do get blocked.
Worth having a AC service every couple of years for fresh gas.
Good Luck.

Hi Craig,

I replied to your PM, but for record purposes I’ll repeat some of it here.

R134a doesn’t go off, it’ll last for years in the atmosphere ruining the planet so if it stays in an air con system it will last indefinitely. If it starts to perform badly, then go for a service. I cannot recommend highly enough an actual pressure test with nitrogen rather than the vacuum test with a standard automotive air con machine. Much, much more likely to discover any little leaks.

The TXV is on the end of the pipes from the heater box. It seems to cross reference to and Alfa 166, 146 and 145, Fiat Coupe and others. Denso DVE09002 appears to be a good part number.

The drier also appears to be an Alfa 166 part. Available in lots of places, again a Denso DFD09001 seems to be a good fit.
