Anyone played with one of these devices?
Thought I’d fit one to the ghibli and see whether it’s any good or just a gimmick.

It fits between the pedal and the ecu and allows you to choose different profiles. Apparently there is no option to configure this in a remap. Be interesting to see if it just cons the ecu to think that the pedal is being pushed down further than it is or whether it’s more refined than that. Quite like the fact that you can change it via your phone.

first time I’ve seen these things, not sure if they are a new thing or whether all my other cars (especially the lotus) were all cable driven throttles rather fly by wire.

Without watching the video I'm going with the pedal box making no difference at all to total power.

Happy to be proved wrong

I agree catman. I’m not on about the tuning boxes in the video which mess with the boost and fuel pressure. If you’re going to do that just get a proper remap. I’m actually looking at the throttle responsive, again, not for additional power but to make it feel a bit more reactive. I find my car a little laggy for my liking. If you plant it it goes like a scolded cat but I would like it to do that with less accelerator pedal travel.

In that case it's probably exactly what you need. Or sport mode.....

Yeah, but why have a dog if you have to bark yourself. Or in this case a dog that barks after you’ve been burgled
It’s not a lot of money so will give it a go and see. Might also have a look and see whether the first half inch of movement on the pedal is just play, or actual electronic delay. I’m suspecting it’s probably play however not sure whether you can do anything about it.

For completeness, pedal box fitted and trialed. It had an effect however I couldn’t find a happy medium. If it was either great on the motorway and be too binary in town or if good in town then sluggish on motorway. Have fitted the FD dbw module and although it is better than standard and runs an acceptable medium between town and motorway throttle response, I can’t say I’m very impressed for the money. Have tried it on both settings and the more aggressive is the one I prefer (especially as I can’t be bothered to remove it).
