It could be quite painful to watch when they describe an Alfasud as Italy's worst car ever built!

I guess the Arna was really a Datsun so doesn't count

I really liked my 'Sud until the rust got to it. It was a great little car and fast for the time.

I had 2 suds and they were fantastic, excellent handling and a beaut of an engine. Not so keen on the inboard brake discs or the corrosion issues but a great car when I was a teenager

Those inboard brakes were a real pain. I still have the Allen key adapter for my socket set from changing the bloody things. The one good thing about the rusting was it was easy to get spares for the rest of it from scrap yards.

I hate Paul Hollywood but will watch it and see........only because its Italy

Indeed, a strange one for him to be doing as he seems to be a huge AM fan and not much else so we'll see if he runs most of the cars down as they don't measure up to his own.
I see that it is a 3 part'er but I don't know if it will all be cars or other topics in the following 2 shows

A hearty hear hear - absolutely loved the sud & sud sprint. Originally had a 1.5 engine then swaped it out for a 1.7 and kept the original gear box. It was spirited off the mark and plenty fast enough at that age. Didn't mind the inboards too much but the monthly ritual of wire brushing the spark plugs was a chore. Fantastic engines though.

Also loved the huge rear shelf - plenty of space for some decent sized speakers. Slightly angled forwards in the mounting, which probably didn't help much, so just had to crank it up a bit

Not such an odd thing for him to do as he is a car nut...Yes he is a big Aston fan but then he races one in the British GT championship ....or he did last year ... to have that running through your vains must make you a bit of a petrol head.

Terrible tragedy. Real nice guy and former world champion. Ironic he races on 2 wheels at 200mph and yet his life is cut short on a bicycle. Nice to see the tributes paid to him by his friends and rivals.

And with Scarponi, the Italian cyclist being killed a few weeks ago whilst out on a training ride, its been a bad couple of weeks :(

Don't forget some tw*t deliberately targeted Chris Froome near Monaco a couple of weeks ago, wrecked his bike but thankfully he managed to avoid injury. What is wrong with people these days?

Mine was 34 years old yesterday and has never let me down. I've heard the early ones were terrible for rust, but the design, packaging and engineering were outstanding.
