Parking at Heathrow long stay

I have two concerns parking my granturismo there...
1. First and foremost, is it safe? I’ll probably park at the long term stay where you keep your keys.

2. Not as big a concern, the battery will last right? I generally keep my car on charge in the garage.

Whats everyone’s thoughts on the above?

I'm being encouraged to drive to LHR to save taxi fares. I have declined politely for both of those reasons.....

Long stay seems the best bet, but unless you disconnect the battery, which you could do. How long are you away for?

I used to drive to the business long stay and leave the RS and M cars there. Doubt I'd leave the GTS cos most people have no respect for cars and will open doors onto them plus the batteries on these for anything longer than two weeks will weaken or worse die leaving you stranded and the last thing you need after a long haul is that happening.

On the rare occasions when I have driven to the airport I tend to pre-book T5 short-stay. That way I can park undercover in a far corner and no sodding about with buses or the weirdy shuttle pod thingy.

Try the JustPark app, saves a fortune and some good safe places to park. Covers the whole of the uk. I've used it in London and Heathrow.

I wouldn't use a third party parking company for airport parking.
Valet parking can work out cheaper than traditional Park up and go. When you use a valet Park they should take photos or your car and note the mileage as a minimum.
Either way, pre-book rather than rock up!

Thanks for the responses all! Given the fact that others would worry and it means I only suffer from partial paranoia I’ll give it a miss a take the wife’s Audi TT like we always do.

The boot is surprisingly spacious if you take the boot cover off and put the luggage on its side before you ask :)
