Options added

Not sure elsewhere but an AFR article in Aust said the average options added to MC20 orders so far has been a modest AUD $50k. Given any paint colour here is $18k option (go figure), I’m guessing they are then only adding $6k nose lifter, $6k alarm/mirrors/blind spot and then playing between wheels, headrest stitching and up rated audio. Suggests no one is opting for any carbon packs.

I wouldn’t spec the carbon as it is just silly money. Maserati have been taking notes from Ferrari and Lamborghini on option prices I recon. Is that right every colour is an option over there….Well that is just a plain rip off…..So order one without a colour and see what they say…

No colour means no order. Agree they’d be better off adding the colour to the cost as opposed to play silly buggers on price point.

Having seen the carbon options I wouldn’t bother with any of it; roof, seats backs you can’t see, g-string engine cover and then lower sections, which will just get damaged with use. I’d say if you want the look get it wrapped for less than 1/20th of the cost.

When I specced one (purely for fun) on the UK website it was fairly easy to ignore all the options. Very few, if any, shouted to me as being a must-have. Though it helps that I’m not the biggest fan of glossy/bling carbon.
