This might be too nerdy even for some of you guys on here but here goes...!
I wonder does anyone know what "type" of plug Maserati have used on their strut/damper connector. The electrical connection block appears to be square & poled ( can only be inserted/connected in one specific orientation ) but anyway, a specific type of electrical fitting...which Id love to identify and source.
Perhaps it has a number or series designated identification moniker....?

Thanks for reading.

If you’re talking 3200 the adjustable shock system is a Bilstein one and also used on Ferrari and Corvettes.

There will be a part number on the connector. If you can find it you can then google it and hopefully come up with an answer.

Interesting- I wouldnt have seen that without a magnifying glass...!
Are you saying it's a Bilstein number...?
Mines a 4200 so guessing Sachs..but same principle..?
Im not getting any hits with the ID I pulled off the thing, so guessing it might be..?

I have a strut available for sale with the Skyhook option. The plug is square and black but I'm not sure if it's poled or not. I'll have a look later but here's a photo. I've since cleaned it up. 59622

It isn't unknown for a material reference being used rather than a part number.
What was the number and do you have a photo of the plug you're looking at?

If you are going to use a ruler, the first rule of ruler club is to use one that starts at the beginning. Not one which is missing that crucial bit. And the second rule of ruler club is to have the item you wish to measure lined up acurately with the start of the ruler. But other than that, you’ve nailed it. ;)

eBay may well be the simplest source for a few items. Presumably 4 connectors & 8 crimps.
Although, always best to buy more crimps than you think you'll need. Even if you're proficient.

I'd suggest using one that's marked in sensible units as well ;)

It's part knack part affliction
You're welcome.

I can't see from the spec. sheet whether you'll need an insertion tool (phnarr phnarr). The plug is IP rated so you may do - probably worth checking with Molex. You'll definitely need a crimp tool. Bullnose pliers can work but wouldn't recommend it. Alternatively, any auto electrician will make up the assembly.
