Being a stickler for detail, I'm having a couple of sets of these 20 year old style number plate decals made up There are no longer available from Maranello with the old style Maser and Fesser logos

Just wandered if anyone else might be interested

Hi Dave. I'd be interested too. Both of my plates are looking a little tatty and been meaning to get around to replacing. Cheers. Jol

Are these at Maserari prices or Ferrari? (The later bound to be half the price).

Will need to see who supplied mine as I am not too keen on the Navalo ones on currently.

It s just the decals not the compete plate plates

I ordered and paid for two sets..£25 including Vat and postage

There on a clear background and about 150mm long, so you can stick them on a cheap pair of new plates!
As they explained, the initial expense was for setting up the graphics programme , then they can run off as many as we need

If thinking about a new rear numberplate, consider the following...

A "regular" standard numberplate size is 520mm x 111mm and I felt it looked a little "lost" in the indent in the body for the numberplate on my 3200GT (I believe the 4200GT is exactly the same) so instead I had a slightly larger but nevertheless fairly standard numberplate size made at 533mm x 152mm (a standard size for older Jags and others I believe). It fitted into the indent perfectly and in my opinion looked much better. To ensure a really snug fit, I had to temporarily remove the chrome light and lock trim whilst I stuck the numberplate down but that was easy, only 2 allen bolts and a cross head screw if I recall correctly and it gave me an opportunity to clean around there as well - the lock itself stays in place, the trim only sits around the keyhole so no worries there. Once the the numberplate was in place I simply bolted the trim back over it giving a really integrated look - at first glance it doesn't even look oversize at all.

Larger plate looks better... but it would drive me mad that the lettering was not centred to the Maserati script.

When I receive the decals I'll put a photo up to see what you think, then we can go from there

Good point. For the car I need this for (which is a 1979 model) I’d need it without the “www.” and the “.com” bits.

There just perfect for my old 51 plate 3200GT … £10 a set if anyone's interested, as I've gone down for the initial design work!

Ewan, I could ask if they could do a cut down version, let me know
