Where did you dig that up from, thats me at school after my first metalwork lesson

It did me no harm that my education included metalwork and woodwork hands on skills that have served me well through life.


I did have a choice i could have went down the languages route, French, Latin etc. and you could make reasonable arguments for either choice.

Do they still teach kids to cook? One of the skills that is sorely needed in this day and age of fast food,

It does not take much effort to make a pot of home made soup, rather than tinned rubbish.

My Dad always had Motorsport magazine and I used to be obsessed with the classified section.
Not that my Dad needed much encouraging as he was in the Motor trade I used to like to point out what I felt was a bargain with provenance.

The MS archive is online but I still enjoy thumbing through my late '60s / early '70s copies, the house smells a bit musty afterwards though!

Believe me, that this job would have set up with in very good career. Plessey came out with the Watchman radar in the 1980s and it was a world beater. Some are still going today some 40 years on.
