..........have been away from the forum for quite a while :(:( so first off, hello to old friends and new friends alike!
I have been sneaking on the forum now and again, to check up on things and glad to see the posters have remained largely the same, as have the gripes lol. For those that remember me, yes I still have marci the 3200, she is still detailed every year and polished to an inch of her life but yes, she is still off the road and not moved in 2 years.........with I have to say with real sadness, no real chance of me getting her back on the road because of where I live.
I will be on the lookout for a new maser in next couple of months, probably a GT rather than old school since my Porsche specialist is confident he can work on the GT or the QP so will be back on.
Still have the cayenne as the daily and still love it. Fiona still has the boxster, still going strong but now has a mito as daily, boy that car sounds like a 3 ltr not a 1 ltr!
I will have a budget of around 25k so hoping to find a 4.7 with no variator issues once I punt a couple of watches (gatwick impulse purchases:rolleyes:) and "let go" of marci either to preferably someone wanting a project or, I really hope not, a breaker.
Greg

hi trev and Newton.
So good to have replies from old friends. We are both doing fine, thank you. Marci a different story. I think ecu f'cked due to flickering by last garage so she sits in my garage going nowhere......

That is a ball ache Greg, I don't know how many systems the ECU is tied to on the 3200 but given the age it is not likely to be many if any so it may be possible they may be exchangeable with just reprogramming the keys. Others may be able to advise, it would be such a shame to loose her.

Got to be worth throwing an ecu at her, there’s got to be a few going spare.
I have lived on that for the last 2 years but the issue for me is what after ? The nearest specialist from me is Manchester so not viable for pre obd maintenance, trust me, I've tried to find a solution......

If you got an ecu, key and ignition pick up would you need to have any programming done?

Hello, Greg, welcome back to the silliness (to you if not, sadly, to that gorgeous green 3200). I’m sorry she’s still not running. Things did sound fairly perilous after her ill-fated trip to the ’repairers’. Despite all that, it’s great that you’re back in the market for one of Italy’s finest. Good luck with the search!

Welcome back to the madness Greg, I echo the previous sentiments about your 3200.
There's plenty of GTs up for sale, it's a buyer's market. You should find a decent one for 25k.

Can you get a GR in green on green?

Glad to see you back, and I’m sure Marci mk2 will be similarly cherished and taken care of. Good luck with the hunt

Hello,

I have a 2000 3200 auto here that I’m breaking up (It’s even green).
I’ll let the ecu go at a cheap price hoping it helps you get your 3200 back on the road.
Obviously it will need coding into the car but it’s a shame to see your car sit idle.
