Hi All

Recently had the F1 Pump on my 53 plate 4200 replaced and I noticed that I shortly had a small leak coming from the back. Having put myself under the car I could see that it appeared to be coming from the return oil pipe and tightened up the Jubilee clip (one full turn!).

The car is going back to the garage shortly but I wanted to check a) is this common b) any easy fixes? ...e.g will a standard bit of pipe do, but presumably a special pipe that doesn't kink.

Part number 32 from here - Maserati/Euro's want £95 for a piece of rubber pipe about 5cm long!

Ha exactly my thoughts, a bit of that anti-crush hozelock.

In all seriousness though, there must be some similar auto motive standard anti-crush pipe I can use. Anyone know what it is called? or better still....if you have had to replace it yourself, what did you use?

That is a really good call, hadn't thought of that and there seems to be somewhere local.

Only problem being I will need to get it into a garage, to get the car on a ramp, drained down, pipe off, head over and hope they have the right pipe.

Where abouts are you if your near me happy to put on a ramp. My guys have never let me down as they have hose for all fluids. Let us know how you get on. Phil.

Hi Phil, thank you for the very very kind offer. I am based in central Bristol, so not far at all.

It is booked in 'tentatively' with my garage (due to my schedule :/ ) just to make sure my diagnosis is correct and a hose company is only about 10 minutes up the road!

However if it needs a little bit more time on a ramp, will certainly be in touch to take you up on the offer :)
