Oil pressure switch

Hi all, looking for some info about oil pressure switch. I have 2007 4200gransport le with 50,000 miles. Oil pressure fluctuates now and again other times perfect. I have checked oil level and perfect. Could it be faulty or sticking sender switch?

Senders are notorious. @Zep has an adapter that makes use of a generic part and subsequent changes far easier.

I assume your gauge is ticking like the hands on a clock? They are a cheap solution so fail every now and then. Before you replace it, check the wiring and the tightness of the earth strap as this can cause the same type of fault.

Noticed mine acted weird just once at some lights yesterday. Idling, pressure dropped to about 2.5 bar, then just started fluctuating up and down a little bit. Is this the same problem you had Tundra?

This is what they all do as they start to fail, or can happen if there is a problem with the earth strap. But 99 times out of 100 it’s the sender failing.

Yip that's exactly what mine started doing. I ordered new sender from main dealer and should be here end of week....
