OBD Scan tool?

Hello Maserati people :)

Is there an affordable scan tool that will also reset the service light? Foxwell told me none of their units will do this and it seems to be a grey area about which OBD tools actually work with our cars.

Thanks,

~Chris

Thank you for the kind offer, sir The car is actually at GVE for a small job, and they will reset the service light for me too, but I would like to have some ‘control’ of my car’s functions if it’s affordable.

Still, it would be lovely to meet you sometime, so I might have to make the trek to sunny Essex from grey Chiswick soon!!

Thank you again for the kind offer :)

Well it does standard OBDII functions as well, but nothing marvellous about reading Maserati modules, sadly.

I bought mine when my indy did a fluid etc service and of course his (Alfa) gear couldn't turn the light off. Seemed like money well spent. Still does since I think it's been used about 4 times so far :)

According to an Italian QP owner on the M139 Facebook group, this device does a whole lot of things! https://www.ebay.it/itm/LAUNCH-Easy...484681?hash=item522950e149:g:pDcAAOSwy21d1pNf

When asked about a service light reset, he said “ Of course, it does much more complicated things, like adjusting the clutch, odometer, engine, suspension, etc., for service alone you can do it with the Delphy 150, or Fiatecuscan, because the m139 is a Lancia thesis platform, in fact many control units are the same”

Might be worth looking into!

I bought a Foxwell NT510 Pro loaded with all Maserati software for GBP 157.50 from North Down Diagnostics in 2017 and it does reset the service light. If in doubt speak to Robert in retail,he's very helpful.
Call 02891 310 043.

I have that model with the Maserati stuff on it but I can’t see where to set the service light! Where is it?

I have an Autel which is good but is a diagnostic platform rather than a scanner. I also have a texa coming.
I thought instead of lugging expensive stuff with me for a basic service I could get a handheld one too, so I jumped on the Foxwell nt530
It can do a few things to the Ghiblis and QP’s and resets lights fine.
But in terms of the GT’s and m139 I couldn’t see a function for the service reset.

Mine is also a NT520 Pro. Have had no luck removing 'CHECK ENGINE' light (2001 model 3200GT).

Totally different system. You should be able to reset a CEL with any OBDII reader (although yours may be pre-ODBII) . Of course, it may immediately re-light if you're not fixing the underlying issue.

Should be the same. On the OBDStar you just go to Oil service reset > Maserati if memory serves

I have the ODB Star too and it defo works on a 2008 GT - if you are near Wokingham I'm happy to let you try it
