Ah bu99er.

Yours is not too bad, that front bumper is saveable. Offer to pay her repair cash and don't involve the insurance..it will cost you a grand all done but you would probably have to fork out £500 excess anyway so I say do it.
Many insurance will still bump up your premium even if you do not submit a claim. Our Evoque was rear ended by a Porsche, incidentally at a round about as well, but wife had not even entered into the roundabout. Anyway, his car was a total write off, so obviously we did not make a claim.

However, Admiral wanted an extra 250 because one of the car was involved in a no fault accident, and statistically one is more likely to have another accident after a non fault accident. What a lot of BS to justify charging a higher premium!

I sounded my horn to make her aware I was there as she obviously either didn't see me or just ignored my being there.
I am trained slightly better than your average driver and know about accident avoidence but I'm afraid if she ignored the white lines accross her exit and just pulled out in front of me it his her who is in the wrong.
I know an insurance company will try and fight this but I wasa not in the wrong at all.
So sorry to hear about it, and even more so seeing the photos, just not nice seeing a damaged GT, even more when it is a Stradale.

I am sure your insurance company will probably argue that she is also partially at fault.

However, it is probably unlikely for you be the non fault party given you ran into her rear end. So you will need to cover the repair cost either way.

Fortunately Just cosmetic damage to your Stradale though, so at least no Cat C/D/S or whichever alphabet they use nowadays. The slight increase on insurance cost is insignificant compared to the loss of the car’s market value if the damage was significant enough to be recorded.

This is something that I never understood... say your car was damaged and non fault with car being repairable, why would anyone agree to have the car repaired by insurance company knowing that you have lost maybe 25% of the car’s market value after the repair. So you have lost thousands because of a non fault accident?

So it was quite fortunate that the damage was only cosmetic! She was lucky to be kissed by a Stradale! Did she tell you that you had a great car?

Yeah, we had the same thing. My wife's car was parked when someone drove into it (luckily she was walking away from the car so wandered back to swap details). Admiral (again) applied some marginal additional premium the following year on the same pretext. It disappeared in the usual renewal negotiation.

I really feel for you, and I think this is going to be a fairly contentious issue. In all fairness I can see where @Phil the Brit is coming from, but to my mind you were proceeding in the correct manner, and she pulled out in front of you and then stopped, because her exit wasn't clear, so to my mind she should be done for driving without due care and attention, but insurance co's work in strange ways, and who knows what there reaction will be.
Yes I totally agree with you, her insurance will fight it to the end and as I hit her they will say it was my fault but I'm just hoping she accepts liability. If her onward exit would have been clear there would not have been a problem, I'd have shouted expleatives at her as I drove past and that would be the end of it but she stopped dead in my path and I couldn't avoid her. I was coming around the roundabout and that's why I hit her rear offside corner and not her flat rear end which was probably a blessing looking at that tow bar.

I don't think she knew what car she was driving never mind what car I had. She was a bit blonde I think.

I thought the rules were relatively simple, traffic entering a roundabout must give way to traffic already on the roundabout.

The issue is proving that was the case

As an aside my wife can be a bit hot headed and she jumped out of the Masser before I did to "go have a go" so straight away before she got to the other car I said calm down and don't get stroppy. Anyway I walked up to the Clio and asked if both occupants where ok, my wife walks over and gasped, she said to the young girl "are you ok, your pregnant" she wasn't, just rather fat!!!! :D:D:D
