Ok Ferrari Belfast have quoted me £130 p/h + VAT for determining the coolant leak. In the event that there is an issue, I would obvosuily like to pay more for the part rather than labor.

Would identifying a leak take longer than 2 hours labour?
I reckon getting it in the workshop and putting it on a two post lift and inspecting the car top and bottom with as coolant pressure tester on you would know what was going on in half an hour unless they are hooking it up to the Diagnosi as well.
2 hours plus vat nice work if you can get it.

I would just buy a coolant pressure tester yourself. Not very expensive and easy to use yourself.

That will tell you if there’s even a leak that needs diagnosing to begin with.

I would do this however I dont want to risk it should something split or burst! I woukd rather it be in somewhere with all the gear.

Think i might have to swallow a few hours labor!

Diagnostics would be that intelligent to flag a leak?

Looks like the colant has dropped a bit under the MIN level! Does coolant expand when hot because the coolant returns to MIN level after car has run a bit?

If you’re worried about it busting you don’t necessarily need to run it up to the full 14 PSI cap pressure off the bat. Put it up to a small amount like 3-4psi in and see if it holds.

But I understand the concern. That’s why I have a CAA membership with free towing :D
